George Jr. "Chip"

A promoter, a dancer, and an actor, Chip Greenidge has steadily survived the Boston club scene over the last two decades. Chip Greenidge has been a purveyor of the hip hop and house scene since the Club M days in Cambridge in the late 80's. Chip Greenidge at his own design was extremely instrumental on the dance and music scene in the early 1990's and made the Hub Club as a happening spot in the summers of 1990 and 1991 with his summer and winters dance parties. He brought legendary hip hop DJ Clark Kent and house sensation Black Box which are legendary shows to anyone on the scene at that time. Chip slowed down on hosting events in the mid 1990's and was a major frequenter and supporter of Utopia and Soul Revival for many years. However, Chip re-emerged in 2002 and 2003 with his own REWIND Music Dance and Poetry Sets which were held at various community spots as centers of artistic culture. He also kicked off REWIND in the Park in 2003 which provided on Sunday afternoons as a great social vibe for emerging local artists to perform and ways for local Boston DJs to spin their work. Chip works with a number of DJ as his residents. DJ Harvey Sencion, DJ Maurice Wilkey, DJ Cruzz, and DJ Val Beats are the weapons of his choosing. Catch Chip develop "REWIND" in upcoming months at
various venues and email him at chipgreenidge@aol.com.
